Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies in order

There are nine Texas Chainsaw Massacre films, spread over four continuities that all begin with the 1974 original. The original line runs from The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974) through The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 (1986), Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III (1990) and The Return of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1995). The 2003 remake and its prequel The Beginning (2006) form a second line; Texas Chainsaw 3D (2013) and its prequel Leatherface (2017) follow the 1974 film directly and ignore the other sequels; the 2022 film is a fourth line, also set after the 1974 film. Release order is the recommended watch, and each later line can be watched on its own after the original.
