Predator movies in order
There are seven Predator films, including the prequel Prey (2022) and the animated Predator: Killer of Killers (2025), plus two Alien vs. Predator crossovers that the franchise page lists as a crossover series. Release order is the recommended watch: the four films from 1987 to 2018 follow one another loosely, Predator: Badlands (2025) is set in the far future, and Prey and Killer of Killers are standalone stories set in earlier centuries. The two Alien vs. Predator films are optional and belong equally to the Alien series.

Where to start: Start with Predator (1987). It introduces the creature and its hunt, and every later film assumes it. Prey (2022), a standalone prequel, also works as a first film.
